I’m sure most of you have clicked on this blog because of the interesting title and you want to know more. Well, we have decided that along with our informative blogs, we wanted to do a series of ‘The Hidden Life of Accountants’ to break it up a bit and so you can get to know us as people and less as the boring number guys.
So, what will the hidden life of accountants include? – Well, we want to talk about our personal lives, what we do behind the scenes, our hobbies and the things you may not know about us. We want you to get to know us on a more personal level.
Let’s start with the big boss man, shall we! Who is Adrian really? You know him as the guy with all the accounting knowledge that helps get your money in your pocket but did you know he is a sports fanatic, dog lover, middle child of 5, and loves his power walks?
Adrian has been playing the sport since he was 8 years old. He started in cricket and football and starred in both until he tore his ACL, in his late 20s, playing mixed netball with Anita and that was it for sport for him.
He grew up with 4 sisters, talk about being the odd one out. He has 2 daughters, aged 18 and 20 years old, and 2 adorable dogs, named Vincent and Ricky. His favorite sport to watch is the NBA and the team he roots for is the Golden State Warriors which of course makes his favorite player Steph Curry!!
Don’t ask me how, but he goes on 2-hour power walks, a few times a week, so if you’re ever driving along Frankston you’ve probably seen him every now and again. It may be surprising but we get a lot of people telling Adrian they have seen him walking on a regular basis!
It wouldn’t surprise you, but he is an absolute control freak and wants everything spot on, which is why he is perfect for this job, so no mistakes are made, but let’s just say it can get on all of our nerves occasionally, but we love him for it, most of the time.
So, who is Adrian to us?
He is not only a boss but he is a friend to us all and an absolute jokester. If he isn’t making jokes or making digs you know there is something wrong. The office wouldn’t be the same or nearly as fun without him.
